About the product
Wonderfully aromatic to use in Thai or Asian inspired dishes, soups, dips, salad dressings and stir fries or curries.

Native to Thailand, kaffir lime trees, small and shrubby, produce both a fruit and leaves, both of which can be used for culinary use. There are other species that just produce the fruit in Mexico, Tahiti and West Indies but this is not the same and should not be confused. The leaves are the richest part of the plant and it is no wonder as the essential oils in the leaves and citral content is what gives it it's zesty lemon and floral headiness in flavour and aroma.

About the vendor
Spice Sanctuary
Canmore, AB
When Trusha, a corporate and capital markets lawyer who grew up with spices that transformed her into a passionate foodie, moved to Canada, she struggled to find spices that delivered the freshness, aroma, potency and purity that high quality spices ought to bring to everyone's pantry and table. The search then began for these elusive organic spices that would meet Trusha's high demanding criteria as the did the work to create her own blend recipes.

Spice Sanctuary is a 100% Canadian company and their range of organic spices and blends were launched in June 2012. Their mission is to offer superior grade, high quality Canadian packaged organic spices and blends that are certified to Canadian standards and delivered Farm to Pantry in 6 steps or less and that are part of an inclusive experience of culinary adventure, education and wellbeing which empowers you to cook & eat well so as to live & be well. Spice Sanctuary also proudly brings to the Canadian organic spice market spices that have not been offered in organic form before. The purchase of each of their spices supports their Plant A Tree for me Program. Visit their website to find out more about their participation in an afforestation project in northern Alberta
