When we were all still working in the office, opening a package of tamari almonds was always a way to instantly get staff to slowly congregate. They're a tasty, crunchy, salty sorta snack that you can feel good about eating. Best of all? Jarr’s mission is to simplify zero-waste living with reusable systems. They offer package-free groceries and household supplies, using the standard glass Mason jars as their reusable and returnable vessel. They chose canning jars because they are less likely to be thrown out, or sent to recycling compared to other standard jars or containers. The Jarr team are champions of the circular economy and are working to fight against the established single-use, throwaway culture. As much as possible, Jarr’s products are locally sourced, organic and vegetarian.

Jarr was started by Emily Sproule in June of 2020 . As a busy working mom with an eco heart, Emily Sproule found herself torn between her full life of work/family and dedicating the time it takes to shop zero waste. She tasked herself with creating a solution that would work for everyone’s busy lifestyle and Jarr was born. Jarr (with two r's for Reduce and Reuse) was created to make package-free shopping easier for busy folks like her who had limited time and still wanted to reduce their impact on the world around them.
