The founders, who are still involved in Nature’s Path today, opened Canada’s first vegetarian restaurant in Vancouver in 1967; opened Canada’s first natural food supermarket in 1971; started selling Nature’s Path organic cereal in the back of that vegetarian restaurant in 1985; and eventually became one of the very first certified organic cereal producers.
