Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry
Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry is a 3 generation family farm based in the beautiful Fraser Valley, British Columbia. Nestled at the base of Vedder Mountain just east of Yarrow, the farm has become a local landmark since the early 1970’s. Known locally as the 'Duck & Goose’ farm, they provide ducks, geese, specialty chickens, turkeys, and squab for a number of white table cloth restaurants throughout the region.
Windberry Farm—In 2008, Windberry Farms owned by the Mark and Sandy Driediger Family, began working together with Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry growing specialty Taiwanese style chickens. This relationship thrived over the years and the business became highly successful. The Driedigers have established a beautiful farm, just down the road from Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry that has been in their family since the late 1950's.
In the fall of 2013, the Driedigers and Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry started working on an idea to diversify their products. Out of those discussions hatched the new Yarrow Meadow Certified Organic Chicken product line. It was vitally important for both Windberry and Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry in this new venture to focus on:
Farming & processing methods to give the birds the highest level of care.
Producing top quality, healthy, safe products for our customers.
Using environmentally friendly and sustainable production practices.
Remaining Certified Organic by meeting or surpassing every requirement.
They have even more recently began producing small quantities of high quality free run turkeys for Christmas and Spud is stoked to be carrying them!
