Botanically known as Petroselinum crispum, parsley is definitely one of the most popular spices in the world, and is used in almost every kind of cuisine around the globe. There are a few forms of parsley readily available in the market but the dried flakes, provide home cooks with a truly versatile ingredient. The flakes add a slightly sweet, and bitter herbal flavour to most dishes.
Parsley is a member of the Umbelliferae family, which includes herbs like cilantro, dill and celery and has been cultivated for thousands of years. The Ancient Greeks were some of the first to experiment with it in cooking and traditional medicine.
In fact, the Greeks believed parsley to be a symbol of strength. Legend has it that Hercules used to make crowns of parsley for war heroes and winning gladiators.

Directions:
To make Parsley tea, add 1 teaspoon dried parsley into a tea mesh strainer or infuser ball and place in a cup. Pour boiling hot water on top. Let steep for 5 minutes. Remove strainer and drink.
