Fortex Green Beans are long (7-11") sweet green beans with stringless pods. These beans are delcious even as their seeds get bigger. Crisp and firm with an earthy taste, green beans make a simple and nutritous side dish. Enjoy them sauted, steamed or boiled. Green beans also maintain their shape and texture in stews and casseroles.

Put in a perforated plastic bag and store in crisper. Do not wash until just prior to use (moisture causes rusting on the beans). Fresh beans last for 4 days to a week.
Preparation Tip: Remove the top (stem end) of the bean. To optimize their sweet flavor, cut the beans as little as possible. Cook just until tender and bright green.
Did you know... They used to be called string beans because of the string that ran along the outer side of the pod, but by 1894 botanists had successfully removed the string through breeding experiments.
