Barbara's Bakery began in 1971 when 17-year-old Barbara Jaffe opened a small bakery in Northern California. Barbara's delicious, all-natural baked goods were immediately popular and the bakery soon grew to become a thriving wholesale business.
The Jaffe family sold the business in 1986, but the company still remains loyal to the original ideals set forth by Barbara herself. They are committed to producing "the best tasting natural baked goods possible". All of their products are made without preservatives, artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils or refined sugars. Barbara's Bakery's company philosophy is that everything that they do as a company be healthy, from the products they create to their community contributions, from the types of packaging they use to their strict ingredient standard.
