Luc Bergeron Maple Products Inc.
Vancouver, QC
Luc Bergeron maple syrup comes from the largest operating maple farm in the world, with 96,000 trees tapped on over 1200 acres. Located 80 miles east of Quebec City near St. Robert Bellarmin, this beautiful area of the Appalachian Mountains in Eastern Canada is renowned for producing some of the finest maple syrup. Luc Bergeron certified organic maple syrup is made with no chemicals, additives or preservatives.
Luc Bergeron started harvesting maple syrup in 1975 on a 52-acre farm located 150 km southeast of Quebec City. During the early years approximately 5,000 trees were tapped and buckets were used to collect the maple sap. On a daily basis during the harvest season (March & April) Luc and a small group of workers would gather the sap by horse and sleigh taking it back to the sugar shack. There the sap was processed in a wood fired evaporator and concentrated into maple syrup. It takes approximately 45 litres of sap to make one litre of maple syrup.
This syrup is stored in stainless steel drums and shipped to our bottling plant & Eastern Distribution Centre in Granby, located 40 km east of Montreal.
Maple syrup has been a Canadian tradition for generations, and its popularity has grown with today's trend toward a healthier, nutritious diet. Absolutely no chemicals, preservatives or additives are used in the production of our pure maple syrup.
