Founded in 1992, Nutrisoya commenced operations as a manufacturer of pasteurized tofu. In 1993 it introduced an aseptically packaged soy beverage line under the brand Natur-a and in the following year, in response to a growing demand for organic, non-dairy alternative beverages, it made substantial additions to the Natur-a line by introducing a variety of new flavours and formats. Faced with an ever growing demand for its soy beverages, Nutrisoya sold its tofu division in 2002 to concentrate on the development of innovative, non dairy alternative beverages. In mid 2004, it launched Natur-a rice, a delicious, organic, gluten-free rice beverage. Today, Nutrisoya is a leader in the non-dairy alternative beverage category in Canada and continues to work on the development of healthy, nutritious, non-dairy organic foods and beverages.
