Josie’s Organics are grown today in the same, fertile California valley where the Braga's grandparents, young Swiss immigrants Sebastian and Josie Braga, started farming in the 1920s.
Moving from Switzerland, they risked everything to purchase the land that is still part of the Braga's Home Ranch in Soledad, California. As partners, they built a successful business and cultivated a warm environment where neighbors, ranch hands and people from far and wide were welcomed into their home and treated like family. Now, keeping their high standards for acceptance, quality, integrity, and sustainability in mind, a third generation of Bragas runs the family business.
Sebastian and Josie would be proud. Nearly a century ago, they started out growing beets, tomatoes, onions, hay and corn. Today, along with employees who have been with the company since these Braga's youngest cousin was born, Josie’s Organics harvests more than 25 varieties of premium, USDA certified organic fresh vegetables, which are enjoyed by people all over the world.
