Oregon sugar pod is a tasty and productive snow pea. Sow 2.5 sm (1 in) deep, 5 cm (2 in) apart in early spring. Grows to 90 cm (3 ft), so a short pea fence is needed. Plant on both sides of the fence, in rows around 5 cm on each side - east/west and north/south orientations both work well. Peas need a soil temperature less than 10 celsius to germinate. Harvest regularly for increased yield. Enjoy the edible pods as a snack in the garden or added to stir-fries.
