Nature’s Path is a fiercely independent, family-owned company that has been committed to organics and sustainability for over 30 years. The company’s roots dig deep in the organic food industry. The founders, who are still involved in Nature’s Path today, opened Canada’s first vegetarian restaurant in Vancouver in 1967; opened Canada’s first natural food supermarket in 1971; started selling Nature’s Path organic cereal in the back of that vegetarian restaurant in 1985; and eventually became one of the very first certified organic cereal producers. Since then, Nature’s Path has become a trusted name for quality, organic foods by adhering to a triple-bottom line of being socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, and financially viable – in that order. Through these core pillars, Nature’s Path is on a mission to “leave the earth better than they found it,” which is the guiding principle for everything the company does.
