Blue Heron Was Created Out Of A Passion For Better, Kinder, More Sustainable Cheese Without Sacrificing Taste And Tradition.
Surrounded by the rich biodiversity of the coastal rainforest, Blue Heron was born on the west coast of BC. We are grateful to live and produce our plant-based cheeses in a place where a walk on the beach provides us with endless sources of inspiration. Our immersion in this coastal community has influenced our approach.
Steady and focused, we are deeply inspired by the calm presence of the great blue herons that inhabit our shared coast line. Rarely found far from water, blue herons are often observed standing on the shoreline patiently watching for movement under the ocean's surface. They move slowly through the water, each graceful step taken with intention, living in harmony with the ecosystems they inhabit. At Blue Heron, we seek to bring the same mindful intention to our cultured vegan cheeses and dairy alternative products.
We are constantly working to find ways to support the communities we live in and intersect with through our supply chain. Our ingredients are sourced from carefully selected farmers who share our same high standards for environmental and social practices. We work closely with our partners to ensure that this process is beneficial for all. All of our ingredients are plant-based, grown from the earth, and harvested sustainably.
