At Fairwinds we strive to give our goats top quality care in providing them with plenty of grazing pastures druing the spring, summer and early part of fall. We raise our goats free of growth hormones. We feed the best quality hay and mixture of oats, barley, corn and ground flax seed, which provides a natural source of omega 3 essential oils, along with a free choice of all natural mineral mix.
Did you know Goat milk contains 13% more Caldium 25 % more Vitamin B-6 and 47% more Vitamin A than cow milk? It is lower than cow milk in cholesterol and contains slightly less lactose. Goat milk also has advantages when it comes to allergies. Goat milk contains only trace amounts of an allergenic casien protein, Alpha-S1, found in cow milk. Goat milk's casein is similar to human milk.
