Cove Drinks
Hi ?? We’re John and Ryan, brothers & co-founders of Cove Gut Healthy Drinks!
Our story begins in our Mother’s kitchen in Maliganant’s Cove, Nova Scotia, hence the name Cove Drinks! We were both fresh out of university, Ryan was working towards a Bachelor of Education, and John was working as an accountant. It was in 2016 when Ryan started brewing kombucha on the side and got John hooked! Our friends and family were enjoying Ryan’s brews so much that we thought about bottling it up to share with the world!
We love our Mom and everything, but even she knew there were too many cooks in the kitchen or should I say, brewers. So, we decided to take our passion project to the big city! One month later, we were selling at the local Farmers’ Market in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We fell in love with sharing tasty and healthy drinks with our community. So much so that Ryan decided to leave university and John left his 9-5. It was a risky decision but one that never felt more right. You could even say we trusted our gut (pun intended)! And the rest is history…
Just kidding! The rest of the story is still being made up each and every day as we continue living our dream and making gut-healthy drinks for all! 6 years later, Ryan created the first-ever, zero-sugar, functional soda, that actually tastes amazing.
Within 6 months, we pitched, produced, and packaged, and Cove Soda was born.
In our mission to promote gut health for all, we’re expanding. Cove Kombucha + Cove Soda = Cove Drinks and this is only the beginning.
