BCfresh, headquartered in Delta, BC, is 100 percent grower-owned and operated representing 65+ family farms throughout the Fraser Valley and select areas sprinkled across British Columbia. Recognized as leaders in progressive farming techniques, the BCfresh family of farms stretch back up to six generations and is the premier provider of locally-grown vegetables found on plates across Western Canada and the United States and supplies many of their crops year-round. Their family farms are active supporters of the Delta Farmland and Wildlife Trust which administers stewardship programs that are available to farmers who operate on the Fraser River delta. BCfresh also partners with numerous local food banks, as well as Ag In The Classroom to support their “Take a Bite of BC” and “Fresh to You” fundraiser program. As part of the Take a Bite of BC Program, BCfresh donates produce to high school culinary arts programs so students can experience the benefits of cooking with locally grown food. The produce is delivered fresh from BCfresh to the classroom and many of the classroom creations are then served in the school cafeteria.
