  • 5 cups coconut milk
  • 6 small yams -- cut in half
  • 1 1/2 cup Great northern beans
  • 1 large onion -- sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic -- minced
  • 5 tsp cumin -- ground
  • 3 tsp tumeric
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper -- ground
