Split Pea Soup

Ingredients:
- 3 Tbsp (45 ml) coconut oil
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sorrel
- 2 c (500 ml) of split green peas
- 10 c (2.5 L) of water
- 3 large carrots
- 3 large onions
- 1 bay leaf

Directions:
1)Chop the carrots and onions and sauté them in the coconut oil for 3 or 4 min.
2)Add the split peas, water and seasoning and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to allow the soup to simmer, stirring frequently for about 1 hr or until the peas have "melted."
3)Enjoy
