Quick and Easy Baked Ravioli

Ingredients:
  • 1 package ravioli
  • 1 container pasta sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella, shredded
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, shredded or powdered
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (optional)
  • 1 roasted garlic head (bulb), peeled (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Bring a half full pot of water - with some olive oil on top - to a boil on the stove. Add ravioli and cook for 5 minutes (maybe up to 10 if frozen), until it starts to float. Drain ravioli.

In the same pot you cooked the ravioli in, mix ravioli and sauce and any vegetables you want to add. Warm on the stove for a couple of minutes, if desired, to reduce baking time. Transfer ravioli and sauce to an oven-safe baking dish and top with cheese. Bake, covered for 30 minutes.

Poke a ravioli with a knife to ensure warmth, then remove lid and increase heat to 400-450 degrees (or even up to broil) and cook for 5-10 minutes to brown cheese.

Serve with garlic bread and salad.
