Kickass Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients:
- 15 Button or Crimini mushrooms
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup bacon bits
- 1 tsp freshly chopped garlic
- 1 tsp freshly chopped onion
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- shredded cheddar cheese (garnish)
- chopped chives or green onions (garnish)

Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350.
2) Remove stems from mushrooms and loosely chop.
3) Heat butter in sauté pan over medium-high heat.
4) Sauté mushroom stems, bacon bits, garlic, and onion until mushroom stems brown and release their water.
5) In a small bowl mix cream cheese and mushroom stem mix.
6) Prepare desired amount of cheddar cheese and chive garnish.
7) Fill each mushroom cap with cream cheese mix. Sprinkle a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives/green onions on top.
8) Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
