Gourmet Root Beer Floats

Take this root beer float to the next level with gourmet ingredients. Try it with coconut ice cream and real root beer!

  • 1/2 pint vanilla ice cream
  • 1 bottle very cold root beer
  • 1/2 cup freshly whipped cream
  • splash bourbon (optional)

  1. Place a scoop of ice cream in a tall, chilled glass.

  2. Pour root beer carefully over the ice cream, watching to make sure that the glass doesn't overflow. Repeat until glass is full. Add a splash of bourbon, if using.

  3. Top with whipped cream, chocolate chips, and cherries.
