Turmeric Chocolate Truffles

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup cacao
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 date
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp water
  • For Coating
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

Directions:

  1. Put a date, 1 tbsp of liquid coconut oil, 1 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp of black pepper, and water into a blender and blend til smooth.


  2. Add the blender mixture to a bowl with 1/2 cup cacao and 1/4 cup coconut oil and stir until it is a thick chocolate paste. Give it a little taste, and adjust as needed.


  3. Place the bowl in the fridge for about 10 minutes so the mixture can solidify a bit for easier rolling.


  4. On a small plate, mix together 1/2 tsp turmeric with hemp seeds and ground pepper and a little salt to taste.


  5. On a clean, dry surface, roll tsp portions of the chocolate mixture into balls, and roll the balls in the turmeric hemp seed mixture to coat.


  6. Store in the fridge until ready to eat
