Warm Apple Pear Crisp

Ingredients:
  • Topping
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Earth Balance Buttery Spread
  • 4 apples
  • 3 pears
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions:

Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine topping ingredients in a small box. Mix well and set aside.

Peel and thinly slice apples and pears. In a large bowl, combine fruit and water. Add sugar, flour and cinnamon. Toss to coat.

Place fruit mixture in 8 inch square glass baking dish. Evenly distribute topping over fruit mixture. Bake 30 to 35 minutes, until fruit is tender and topping is golden.

Delicious topped with vanilla yogurt or ice cream!
