- 3 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp salt
- +-1 c warm water
- chili powder
1)Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Slowly stir in water to form a crumbly dough. Work the dough with your hands until it all holds together.
2)Transfer to a flowered board and knead until smooth. Divide into 12 balls. Cover and let rest for 15 min.
3)Flatten each ball into a patty, then roll into a 9” circle (from centre to edge).
4)Place on med-high, dry pan. Turning occasionally cook for 2 to 2-1/2 min or until light brown (but still soft), flip and repeat. If tortillas stick or brown too quickly, reduce heat. Set finished tortillas aside and cover / wrap immediately.
