Inspired by the shops of Vancouver, LA, and Tokyo, and driven by their love of noodles, Greg and Erin Masuda served Vancouver Island's first bowl of genuine, scratch-made ramen at their tiny ramen-ya in downtown Courtenay in October 2016. Six years and 40+ flavours later, Nikkei Ramen-ya still bustles; if you can’t make it to the original shop in Downtown Courtenay, their Ramen Kits and Ramen Building Blocks bring the experience home.
