Spud's Local Grocery Delivery Service Process

1. Join Spud & start shopping

We curate the best in local, organic, and sustainable groceries by working directly with farmers and other producers. All items are subjected to strict standards before they end up on our shelves.

Place, change or cancel your order anytime until 8 PM one day before your delivery day.

There are no subscription, contracts, or commitments. Order what you want, when you want.

2. Groceries are delivered to your door

Your order is carefully packed in a reusable bin, with dry ice to keep frozen items frozen, and cold packs to keep perishable items cool.

Produce and perishables arrive at Spud daily, so your order is always fresh.

Each area has at least one delivery day a week, keeping our trucks full and our carbon emissions down.

3. Enjoy your groceries

Unpack and enjoy! We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so If you're unhappy with an item, let us know and we'll refund your account.

We pick up the bin and any packing supplies on your next delivery day, or you can schedule a bin pick up.

  • Sourcing consciously grown and produced groceries is at the heart of what we do. While we do source our grocery inventory both from Canada and internationally, you can be sure that we have done the research into the clean ingredients, ethical practices and product quality for every item we sell on our site. We pride ourselves in supporting local vendors and farmers. When in season we will source produce from local farmers and growers here in Alberta and British Columbia. At certain times of the year our organic produce will travel from growers we partner with in the United States. We always show where our fresh produce and groceries are sourced so our customers can make an informed decision when shopping with SPUD.
  • Our delivery service has continued to expand through the years based on demand. We are continuously looking at new areas to deliver our fresh local produce and groceries to. Building in new delivery areas takes a lot of planning from structuring our inventory requirements with our local vendors through to route planning that aligns with our focus to minimise our carbon emissions. Continuing to expand our delivery areas to deliver the convenience of delicious, consciously sourced groceries to the doors of new neighbourhoods is something we very much look forward to doing.
